BEETHOVEN'S "PASTORAL" - Ruth Reinhardt leads Beethoven's poetic "Pastoral" Symphony and welcomes internationally acclaimed Yevgeny Kutik to perform the new Violin Concerto by the "brilliant" (Boston Globe) Providence-based Eric Nathan.


BRAHMS & BEETHOVEN - Ruth's exploration of Brahms continues in October with the haunting Third Symphony plus an Elegy to the composer by Sir Hubert Parry. Also, Beethoven's regal "Emperor" Concerto with the dynamic Denis Kozhukhin. "He shot a bolt of lightning through the music," raved Bachtrack.

RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES! - In November, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries soars into The VETS under Christian Reif, who also conducts Ravel's mesmerizing La Valse and the Piano Concerto of the young Clara Schumann with Estefan Iatcekiw.

ROMANTIC CHOPIN - The New Year begins with the romantic Second Piano Concerto of Chopin with Alessio Bax, as the young members of the RI Phil Youth Orchestra perform Side-by-Side with Ruth and the RI Phil.

TCHAIKOVSKY'S FIFTH  - On Valentine's Weekend, Ruth conducts Tchaikovsky's passionate Fifth Symphony.

NORTHERN LIGHTS - NIELSEN & SIBELIUS - March brings bracing music of the north by Nielsen and Sibelius under guest conductor Ben Manis.

SPANO CONDUCTS PUCCINI - Principal Guest Conductor Robert Spano returns for music from Puccini's La Bohème, famous duets from The Pearl Fishers and Lakmé, and Respighi's thundering Pines of Rome, with brass blazing from the four corners of The VETS.

RUTH CONDUCTS BEETHOVEN'S MISSA SOLEMNIS - And to conclude your season, Ruth conducts Beethoven's epic Missa Solemnis - "It comes from the heart. May it go to the heart," wrote the composer.
