IN-PERSON AUDITION Requirements for Beginning String Ensemble
A fun introduction to Orchestra for students of Suzuki Book 1-2 or equivalent
Techniques and Skills Required for this Ensemble
- Basic knowledge of instrument posture and set up, including correct bow hold, intonation and proper finger placement awareness with a clear tone.
- Basic knowledge of instrument terminology: parts of instrument and bow, bow direction, rhythm vs pitch, etc.
- Play and recognize notation on all four strings
2025-2026 In-Person Audition Dates
- Saturday June 7th from 9:00am - 1:00pm
- Friday June 13th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm
- Saturday June 14th from 9:00am - 1:00pm
