Online Student Profile Form
Creating a successful teacher/student relationship is very important to us. Our faculty members have many specializations, diverse talents, teaching styles and personalities. The more we know about the way you or your child learns, personal goals and interests, the more likely that we will create a lasting and rewarding partnership. Your first step is to fill out this profile form. The Music School Registrar will receive your form, and after careful review, a member of our admissions team will contact you to discuss placement with a Music School faculty member. (Paper copies of this student profile form are also available at the front desk of each branch.)
Our private lessons are 30, 45 and 60 minute long arranged to fit the student's and the instructor's schedules. We operate on a school year session from September through June as well as an 8-week summer session. New students may enrol at any time and we will prorate tuition accordingly. We offer lessons at all of our branch locations.
Our Music School faculty consists of over 70 of the most accomplished performers and music educators in our area. Several are members of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra as well as other locally based professional ensembles. They have received their musical training from institutions that include New England Conservatory, Eastman and Hartt Schools of Music, Harvard, Boston University, Moscow Conservatory and URI, to name only a few.
For an intermediate or advanced student new to The Music School, we may suggest an informal audition to assess that student's needs and to match the student with the appropriate instructor. Financial Aid in the form of Direct Tuition Assistance and Work-Study is available for financially qualified families.
